Publicolor Tote by Jack Spade
Jack Spade's Publicolor Tote was inspired by Publicolor, a non-profit organization started in 1996 that trains at-risk drop-out students the skill of commercial painting. "Publicolor's mission is to catalyze change in inner-city schools and neighborhood facilities through the power of color and collaboration". With the help of Publicolor, students are taught to boldly paint public places in order to revamp their community as well as their self-esteem.
The Publicolor Tote is constructed with tarp cloth and three-ply yarn and treated to repel stains. The bag comes in yellow, red, green and blue and mimics a traditional paint color chart with the lightest of the color starting at the bottom and the deepest at the top. For each $120 tote sold, Jack Spade will donate 25 percent of the proceeds to support the company’s efforts. Read more about Publicolor here.
