I really like the secure clip closure and the exterior magnetic flap pockets that adorn each end. Usually side pockets are snapped together, but I for one just let them flap in the wind only to lose whatever I've managed to stick in them at the time. From their NCAA collection, Fossil has brought to us some beautiful and inexpensive leather Hobos. The multiple leather panels on the strap feature various OSU logos making this handbag game ready! While surfing the net I ran across this, uh, unique 'Anchors Away Medium' Hobo Bag. The Betseyville by Betsey Johnson is made of a floral and striped canvas trimmed in leather. I find that I really like this Belted Hobo by Jimmy Choo. Made of Auburn camel leather and accented with gold tone hardware, it looks to carry well with the wide shoulder straps. Betsey Johnson Vintage Large Leather TZ Hobo
This Vintage Betsey Large Leather TZ Hobo is designed in a beautiful soft vintage leather with an awesome leopard lining. With contrast stitching and antique grommet detailing, this will be yet another bag I'll have to lust over this fall. And at $295, it's half-way affordable for my wallet! Measuring 10 x 5 x 10 inches, you can purchase this cute hobo at Betsey Johnson's online store.
Parcel Basic Large Hobo
Despite the slouchy reputation that hobo's have, the Basic Large Hobo by Parcel ($83) seems to stand taller than the others. The extra pockets on the side are a great bonus for storage, and being made of canvas means that after a hard weekend at play - it can easily be cleaned. Measuring in at 21 x 5 x 15 inches, I think this could be my new day-trip bag. Antique hardware adds a perfect finishing touch to an already great bag, and with that price...I'm lovin' it!
Louis Vuitton Tulum PM and Pouchette
Louis Vitton's Tulum PM (named after Mexico's Mayan city) puts a new twist on the Monogram Canvas line using a new, more supple version of the popular fabric. The gorgeous PM hobo features cowhide trim and shoulder strap, golden brass hardware and has a textile lining. The Tulum measures 11 x 9 x 4 inches and sells for $1,090.
Also, if you're loving the Tulum (much like myself!), be sure to check out the matching Monogram Pouchette (330) which features a nifty snap hook to attach it to your bag or to hang your keys from. Isabella Fiore Hacky Sack Angelina Hobo
Instead of voicing my usual dislike for Isabella Fiore's designs, I've decided I'm actually quite attached to this one. The Hacky Sack Angelina Hobo is a woven bag with stud detailing and an inside canvas lining. I'll admit, the flowery beaded ornamentation is a bit much for me, but I'm pretty quick to forgive considering how gorgeous the leather and embroidered detailing is. Measuring 10 x 17 x 2 inches, the bag is available at Saks for $475.

DKNY Reversible Muslin East/West Bag
I love that this Muslin East/West Bag from DKNY is reversible, but what I really love is that it's so cheap! The $95 hobo sports a washed-out red paisley print on one side and a small block print on the other. Trimmed in leather and measuring 19 x 11 inches, it also features an open patch pocket on the reverse side and a red leather DKNY logo tag attached the the paisley side shown.

I can't express to you how wild I am about this bag! In a surprisingly adorable shape, the Military Metallic Hobo from Marc Jacobs is stunning in soft metallic leather. Hayden-Harnett Mosa Hand-Beaded Hobo
As noted by The Bag Blog, Hayden-Harnett's new Spring collection is indeed here. Although I'll agree that the Alfie Bird Bag is pretty darn cute, the Mosa Hand-Beaded Hobo is absolutely to die for! Embellished with multicolored, metallic hand-beading and woven piping on its top edge, the washed linen bag features a braided adjustable strap and twill lining. The limited edition Mosa Hand-Beaded Hobo can be purchased in either luggage (shown) or white trim and measures 16.5 x 15 x 1.5 inches. Hayden-Harnett sells their metallic-linen masterpiece for $258.

Prada Deerskin Leather Rope Hobo
As much as I hate the fact that we use deerskin for handbags, I can't deny that this one is utterly gorgeous. Pradas Leather Rope Hobo, which comes in both sand and blue, has a rope detailed shoulder strap and open top with snap closure. Accented in silver metal hardware and studs, the hobo features Prada's signature logo plate on the front and measures 11 x 15 x 4 inches. The Deerskin Leather Rope Hobo sells for $1,350 at Saks.

Be & D Leather Crawford Hobo
I'm not quite sure what, but there's something very enticing about this bag. Made with smooth Italian deerskin in gorgeous white, the Be & D Leather Crawford Hobo has undoubtedly stolen my heart today. The bag's strap is detailed with studs and grommets and has large adjustable buckles, while the interior of the hobo is lined in suede. It measures 14 x 19 x 4 inches and sells for $1,180 at Saks. Too bad I have such a large problem with deerskin purses or I just might look into buying one of these. Ok, so its much more a money issue than the whole deer thing that's really standing in my way, but you get the idea.

Theory Park Sak Combo Hobo
I'll admit I've never seen a handbag by Theory. Clothing, yes. Handbags, however, no. So if indeed this is their freshman effort (there could be a whole handbag line out there that I'm totally oblivious to), I'll have to say it's a pretty darn good one. Banana Republic Tangiers Small Hobo
Of all the new handbag collections available now at Banana Republic, I'm pretty sure the Tangiers is my favorite. Featuring soft Italian leather and whipstitch detailing, the Tangiers Small Hobo shown right may be smaller in size but is literally overflowing with class and style. Inside the twill-lined bag is a zip and cell phone pocket, while the exterior sports a gorgeous leather chain-linked strap. Banana Republic sells the Tangiers Small Hobo for $98. It measures 13 x 13.5 x 4 inches and comes in black as well the vachetta brown shown.

Tat Hobo by Drifter
Cute, cheap, casual bags -- my favorite kind. While a part of me wants to save my money for months on end to buy more expensive designer bags, the bigger (and smarter) part of me wants to buy one of these every month. The gray Tat Hobo Bag by Drifter is made of durable canvas and has distressed suede accents. The outside features a hip, screen-printed design that is very detailed yet simple, and interestingly enough, the interior accomplishes a similar effect with an equally appealing print. Valentino Suede & Fur Hobo
We've been discussing the use of exotic materials such as fur in the constructing of handbags over at the Lounge, and although I feel it's wrong in at least a million ways, I'm pretty sure its OK to drool a bit when laying eyes on a bag like this. I don't know if it's the beautiful Bordeaux color or the studded front flap that turns me on, but either way this Suede & Fur Hobo by Valentino does it for me! If you can get past the fur thing, your next issue will be coming up with the $1,450 it'll cost you to pre-order this little guy. Good luck with that.
Kenneth Cole Side Effects Medium Hobo
There has been much discussion about the perfect, slouchy, leather bag and although Kenneth Cole's Side Effects Medium Hobo may not be the one, it definitely provides the most bang for your buck. (Did I really just say "bang for your buck"? Terribly sorry.) At any rate, the pearlized leather bag measures a large 15 x 10 x 4 inches and is accented in polished pewter hardware and leather tassels. EBags sells the Side Effects Medium Hobo for $102, which is 20 percent off the regular price.

Something about this bag makes me crazy! I've been staring at it on my desktop for a week and although I swore I was going to lay off the metallic bags for a while, this one has to be shown to the world! Isabella Fiore's Sheer Delight Hobo is made of soft, bronze leather and sports a short, braided strap and interior canvas lining. Like it or not, you're likely to see lots of hot, studded goodness here on Purseuing for a while considering my recent obsession with the fad. New from Felix Rey, the Studded Hobo has a neatly pleated exterior that comes in either chocolate or black leather. The hobo, which is available now from Bergdorf Goodman, has an attractive knotted strap, a zipper closure with logo heart tab attached and lets not forget: GIANT, GOLDEN-TONED STUDS! Felix Rey's Studded Hobo will set you back $520.
Paul Smith Small Flower Hobo
Everything about this bag from the floral pattern to the leather-trimmed mirror printed with "smile :)" is begging for me to buy it! Paul Smith's Small Flower Hobo is made with cotton velvet and leather trim and has a zip closure. Inside, the hobo is lined in twill and sports a logo-embossed pocket trimmed in leather as well. The Paul Smith Small Flower Hobo sells for $295.
Yves Saint Laurent Stitched Hobo
The Stitched Hobo from Yves Saint Laurent in dark brown leather has a very unique feel with golden hardware and scrolled metal straps. A bit pricey at $1,295, the bag has an interesting gathered zip top and can be pre-ordered now at Neiman Marcus' online store. It is expected to ship October 24th.
Guess Aviator Hobo
This military-inspired bag from Guess is just about the only thing that could change my anti-war hippy ways. I'd strongly consider joining up if the Aviator Hobo was provided as basic equipment. The $72 purse is made from Army-green washed canvas, sports rugged O-ring hardware, and has tons of compartments for stuff like your gun and grenades cell phone and makeup.
Isabella Fiore Studded Leather Hobo
So, as I stated in a recent post, I swore off Isabella Fiore for a while because I had reason to believe she had lost her mind. (Don't believe me? Take a look at this and this!) At any rate, I've been accepting some of her recent styles and have even become quite attached to this bag. The Studded Leather Hobo has soft, distressed leather with whipstitched trim and stud accents. Shown here in brown leather, the bag from Isabella Fiore also comes in bronze and sells for a reasonable $385. Now if we can just get her to stay on her meds.
Emilio Pucci Printed Hobo
Judging by my lack of coverage on Emilio Pucci and her abstract print handbags, it shouldn't be hard to figure out that I'm simply not a fan, however, the Printed Hobo shown here tickled my fancy I'll have to admit. I don't know if it’s the hobo shape that I like or if the disorienting pattern has confused my brain to the point of believing I like it. Either way, I've had a change of heart. The Printed Hobo from Emilio Pucci can be preordered for $750 at Neiman Marcus as part of their Fall Preview offerings.
Sweet Loly Bag from Isabella Fiore
So it's no secret that I'm not the biggest Isabella Fiore fan in existence. As a matter of fact I can’t really think of anything she's done that I've been really thrilled about. Having said that, today while over at the Standard Style Boutique, I ran across this Sweet Loly Bag and am now thrilled to say the least. The framed leather bag has a short, single strap and features detailed, contrast stitching. The front of the purse focuses on a cutesy bow with a "love" charm dangling down while the back has a large zipper pocket. Isabella Fiore's Sweet Loly Bag comes in both yellow and green and sells for $320.
Juicy Couture Canvas Hobo
Slowly but surely, Juicy Couture is moving back on to my good side with some of their new styles. This cute Canvas Hobo has a tan body with light pink trim. The bag features two shoulder straps that attach to the canvas bag with rings which pleat the purse at the top. Flap pockets can be found on the sides of the hobo and a signature "J" heart tag is attached to the front. The summery Canvas Hobo from Juicy Couture measure 7 x 13 x 8 inches and sells for $198.
Burberry Prorsum Canvas Hobo
I'm having a hard time making up my mind if I absolutely love this bag or if it's as ridiculous as it seems at first glance. I don't think I'll be going with the latter (no matter how much I want to make jokes about this bag possibly making you look like a real hobo). The Burberry Prorsum Canvas Hobo appears to be just what I need to spice things up a little. Its main feature is of course the knotted shoulder strap, along with brown leather trim with brass loops, and a tiny brass Prorsum horse logo on one side. The $550 bag has two inner pockets and a magnetic closure.
Gap Wood Chain Hobo
I find it necessary to mention a Gap bag at least once every two weeks. It keeps me sane and grounded after spouting off about outrageously expensive handbags all the time. For just $35, the adorable Wood Chain Hobo from Gap is made of simple cotton canvas and has a printed lining. The hobo comes in both white and spring breeze (light green) and includes a cute wood charm on the top zipper. It feels good to know that if I wanted this bag, I could just head to the Gap, or order it online. No waiting for a winning lottery ticket in order to afford it. Just a simple trip to the mall with a twenty, ten and five in hand and it's mine. Isn't the Gap great?
Enamel Flower Handbag from Ann Taylor
Not only do I love the pink leather and flower detail on this bag, but I also love the small hobo shape as well. The Enamel Flower Handbag from Ann Taylor in soft nubuck leather has buckle hardware on the shoulder strap and closes with a zip top. The adorable pink purse sells for $99 and measures 1 1/2 x 7 1/1 x 12 inches. Also, check out these matching shoes and belt, both also from Ann Taylor.
Burberry Leather Hobo
Here's a riddle for you. What do you get when you mix a big, white Burberry bag and magenta colored tassels? Simple. You get my tongue hanging out past my chin and drool pooled on the floor beneath me. The Leather Hobo from Burberry has a suede strap, and closes with a magnetic snap. With it's cotton sateen lining and cell phone pockets, the hobo is as beautiful on the inside as it is out. At 11 x 12 x 3.5 inches, the bag sells for $650 at Saks.
Vanessa Shoulder Bag from Cynthia Rowley
All these white bags are making me intensely excited about the spring season. The Vanessa Shoulder Bag from Cynthia Rowley is a medium hobo made of beautiful white leather and has stud/buckle detail. The purse closes with a mock gold buckle snap and is lined in cotton canvas. Measuring 7 x 14 x 2 inches, the Vanessa is priced at $225. By the way, I am aware that I just highlighted another white hobo (Jimmy Choo's Otto) earlier in the week. What can I say, my obsession is unwavering.
DKNY Nappa Ruched Medium Hobo
It's big, slouchy, and yellow. And I love it. The Nappa Ruched Medium Hobo from DKNY is made with washed calfskin leather and has nickel hardware. The cotton interior features a zip pocket and two open pockets for cell phones or PDAs. The bag is humongous at 15 x 5 x 11 inches and the oversized Hobo has two deep pockets on the front in case you still need more room. The $265 purse comes in black and purple besides the pale yellow one shown. I don't know about you, but if one more adorable spring purse presents itself to me, my heart is going to explode.
Urban Outfitters Large Leather Ring Bag
Just when you thought that there were no big, leather bags left in existence that you didn't have to finance through a bank, Urban Outfitters delivers the goods to us just the way we like it. Cheap. The Large Leather Ring Bag is an oversized hobo with brass hardware and a heart-shaped zipper toggle. The lining of the bag is satin and features an interior zip pocket. The Ring Bag measures an impressive 17.5 x 11 inches and at just $68, you'll be able to pay your bills this month after all.
Jimmy Choo Otto Leather Hobo
From the Tahula Collection, the Otto Leather Hobo from Jimmy Choo is fashioned from grain calfskin and has suede lining. The Italy-made bag in ravishing white has a hidden snap closure and flap pockets on the sides. At $1300, the hobo measures 10 x 13.5 x 5 inches.
And all the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't make Jimmy Choo affordable to the middle class again.

This Italy made Nylon Hobo from Prada's Sport Collection is constructed with white nylon and gray woven trim. The hobo has orange mesh insets on the sides and is accented with silver metal hardware. When viewing the bag on the Neiman Marcus online store, I noticed that there was a disclaimer reading: "Due to high demand, a customer may order no more than three units of this item every thirty days." Huh? At $495, is there really some fool out there who can afford to order more than three of these bags in their lifetime, let alone in 30 days? Oh wait, I get it. They meant to write: "Due to high price, a customer may order three units of this item only after getting a second mortgage on their home and stealing from their old, confused great-grandmother." Simple typing error, we all make them.
Giuseppe Zanotti Ruched Leather Hobo
This stylish hobo has ruched constructions with perforated leather and smooth gussets. There is extraordinary ornamentation on the handle and the bag comes in brown. The dimensions are 9 1/2 x 4 x 9 inches and it is priced at 50 percent off which is $345 compared to $692, which is still pretty expensive but if you just keep telling yourself that you are getting it at 1/2 off you won't feel so bad about selling your cat to buy it.
Marc by Marc Jacobs Gathered Hobo
Sometimes you see a bag and think "I physically need this bag." The Marc Jacobs Gathered Hobo is one of those bags. This oversized hobo is made of supple calf leather with aged brass MJ snaps and is lined with a fun flower print lining. It has a supportive sling and a dual-purpose strap that can be worn across your body or folded over and snapped on the other side for shoulder carry. The bag sells for $368 and comes in black as well as red shown to the right.
Coach Soho Leather Medium Hobo
As part of their new handbags for the spring season, Coach has introduced the already popular Soho leather Hobo in a new lightweight leather material for $298. The bag comes with the signature lining on the inside, cellphone pocket, and zip-top closure on the top. The hobo comes in black, but I am personally addicted to the camel color shown to the right.
Anthropologie Pleated Leather Hobo
This soft leather hobo is pleated, with braided leather accents and two handles. Anthropologie combs through flea markets and antique shops for inspiration and that’s the vibe I get from this bag. Very vintage. The top is magnetic tab closure and it is lined in cotton faille. Comes in Dusty Rose and Tusk color for $128.
