Announcements
Please Welcome Outblush
Purseuing has been a bit neglected for the past few months and here's why. I'm proud to announce that I've been working on the much-anticipated launch of Outblush, an online shopping magazine for women, and at last it is here. Outblush is the third blog in the Dejarik Media family which also takes credit for Uncrate (#1 online men’s shopping magazine) and Buzz Patrol (covering entertainment, celebrities, and general news of interest). I, along with a number of other contributors have been working pretty hard on this and I really think it's something that all of my readers here at Purseuing will appreciate. We're a product based shopping blog covering everything from shoes to shampoos and blenders to iPods. My wish is for you to check out this new, exciting project and hopefully make it a daily read. Of course Purseuing will continue covering all things handbags and hopefully I'll be doing a better job at juggling my responsibilities both here and at Outblush now that these first few days are over. I hope you enjoy!

Around the Bagosphere: September 23rd, 2005
In case you've been asleep for the past 10 months, you should know that there's some other great handbag blogs that you should all be checking out besides Purseuing. I not only encourage this, but am now going to spend every Friday showing you what bags I love from these bag bloggers. Every week, I'll tell you which site highlighted which bag and you'll have a chance to comment on the bags over at the Purseuing Lounge. You're also likely to get a reply from the blogger that wrote it and I of course will be putting my two-cents in as well. Pictures of all the bags can be found by clicking on the links below.
Charles David Viper Hobo by Bag Crazy --A very nice find! I'm loving the Currant color! (Shown right)
Shearling Luella Carmen by The Bag Lady -- A peice on the Shearling Luella Carmen being on sale at Net-a-Porter. I love markdowns!
Louis Vuitton Mohican Bag by In My Bag -- Very beautiful and very professional. (And very expensive!)
Cole Haan Lunch Tote by The Bag Blog -- I'm never ever getting tired of Cole Haan's fall line, I swear it.
Bernhard Willhelm Weekend Bag by Brown 712 -- I totally agree that this bag makes me wanna go somewhere just to carry it.
Purseuing has a new Forum!
Yesterday was my anniversary, and instead of flowers or dinner or jewelry, I got a forum -- The Purseuing Lounge! My fiancé surprised me in the morning by showing me what he had built and I spent the rest of the day editing and preparing it for live posting today. I’m marrying a big nerd, aren’t I?
Check it out girls (it's super easy and free to sign up), and let me know what you think. It should be a blast and I’m so excited! Use the "What's on Purseuing" category for your comments about specific bags on the site since I disabled the comments on my posts long ago due to spam. There's also a place to discuss new bags coming out and even a spot for indie designers to share their work. If you don't want to talk about purses, that's OK too. There's a general discussion board for stuff besides bags.
Its looking kinda lonely in there right now, so come on over and start chatting it up! See you there!
Hurricane Katrina Help
No bags today. Instead, please take a moment to donate whatever you can to the American Red Cross. They need all the financial support they can get right now to in turn help those affected by the horrific Hurricane Katrina. Large portions of Louisiana and Mississippi were completely devastated and it will take a lot to get things up to par there. Our hearts here in the north go out to those who lost their homes or loved ones.
